The Arizona State University Downtown Phoenix Campus, known as ASU Downtown and located in Phoenix, Arizona, is a campus of Arizona State University that was established in 2006. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees across nine academic divisions, among them the Thunderbird School of Global Management, the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation, and the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions. ASU Downtown enrolls more than 11,500 students and counting each year.

On Campus

The ASU Downtown Phoenix campus offers students a variety of academic and professional connections by virtue of its location. City landmarks like the historic U.S. Post Office building, which now serves as the Student Center, have been integrated into its campus. Students operate the Phoenix area’s PBS television station, KAET, out of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. The College of Public Service and Community Solutions is home to several research centers including the Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation and the Morrison Institute for Public Policy.

About Arizona State University

The main campus of Arizona State University, located in Tempe, Arizona, was established in 1885. It was established as the Territorial Normal School and opened its doors to students in 1886. It went through several name changes until it adopted its present name in 1958. It offers about 350 undergraduate degree options and more than 400 graduate degree and certificate programs. Its colors are maroon and gold, and its athletic nickname is the sun devils.
