The Arizona State University Research Park, located in Tempe, Arizona, is a business and recreational park operated by Arizona State University. The Arizona Board of Regents authorized ASU to create a not-for-profit research park corporation in 1983. Groundbreaking took place in 1984, and the first ground lease (with Transamerica) was signed in 1985. Today, the park has ground leases in place with 24 lessees across 26 buildings and 2.2 million square feet. The park is home to 48 companies that employ more than 6,000 people.

Tenants include companies like AllianceRx Walgreens Prime, Edward Jones, FOX Media Center, Peoples Mortgage, the Reproductive Medical Institute, US Foods Inc., and W Tempe. The ASU Research Park offers amenities like landscaping, lakes, jogging trails, picnic ramadas, and a convenient location within two miles of restaurants, retail shops, and hospitals. 

ASU Research Park serves as one of the university’s six Innovation Zones. Its goal is to merge a vibrant corporate community with the benefits of a comprehensive research university. The park supports the university’s sustainability initiatives through efforts like water-saving features, timed irrigation, and light controls and timers for exterior landscapes. 

About Arizona State University

The main campus of Arizona State University, located in Tempe, Arizona, was established in 1885. It was established as the Territorial Normal School and opened its doors to students in 1886. It went through several name changes until it adopted its present name in 1958. It offers about 350 undergraduate degree options and more than 400 graduate degree and certificate programs. Its colors are maroon and gold, and its athletic nickname is the sun devils.
