Arkansas State University – Newport – Marked Tree Campus celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017. It was founded as Delta Vocational Technical School in 1967. The Delta Technical School later merged with Arkansas State University and became ASU Technical Center, Marked Tree in 2008.
The university campus offers seven vocational programs. ASUN - Marked Tree aims to bring positive social, economic and cultural impact to the community. In addition to associate degrees, proficiency and technical certificates, the campus also offers a GED program for adults.
