General Information

The Central Arizona College Florence Center, located in Florence, Arizona, is one of three educational centers of Central Arizona College. The Florence Center offers traditional and distance learning college credit classes for the surrounding community. Its claim to fame, however, is its partnership with the Arizona Department of Corrections. The center offers a second chance to inmates of Arizona State Prison by providing them with skills training. The center is also available for placement testing by appointment.

About Central Arizona College

CAC was established in 1969 to provide higher-education opportunities to the residents of Pinal County, Arizona. The college is made up of five campuses and three academic centers. It emphasizes its diverse population of local Hispanic and Native American students. Today, it enrolls about 6,000 students and counting each year across all of its locations. The school colors are green and gold, and its athletic nicknames are the vaqueros and the vaqueras.
