The first batch of students walked into Edison Junior College in 1962. In 2014, the college was rechristened as Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW). The Fort Myers campus is the main campus of the college. It has satellite campuses in several other locations, including the Hendry/Glades Curtis Center in LaBelle, Florida.

The Hendry/Glades Curtis Center in LaBelle lies about an hour northeast of the main campus in Fort Meyers.
