Northern Illinois University Chicago is a satellite campus of Northern Illinois University located in the heart of the Loop in downtown Chicago, Illinois. Its sole degree offering is a 12-month Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. The campus is also home to the Education Systems Center, a program of the Division of Outreach, Engagement and Regional Development that works to design and implement local policies and practice in education and in the workforce. The Chicago campus houses an Alumni Association representative and spare office space for any alumni in the area who need a quiet place to work.

About Northern Illinois University

The main campus of Northern Illinois University, located in DeKalb, Illinois, was established in 1895. It opened its doors to students in 1899 as the Northern Illinois State Normal School, a training institution for teachers. It became a four-year school in 1921 and began offering graduate classes in 1951. It gained university status and its present name in 1957. Today, it enrolls more than 16,000 students and counting each year. The school colors are cardinal and black, and its athletic nickname is the huskies.
