University of Colorado Denver International Student Insurance

The University of Colorado Denver, located in Denver, Colorado, was established in 1912. It consists of two campuses: one in downtown Denver, the other—the Anschutz Medical Campus—ten miles away in Aurora, Colorado. The Anschutz medical campus also incorporates the Children’s Hospital Colorado and the University of Colorado Hospital. The two campuses operated as separate institutions until their relatively recent merger in 2004. Today, CU Denver enrolls more than 18,000 students and counting each year. The school’s colors are black and gold, and its athletic nickname is the lynx.

CU Denver is located on the Auraria Campus, a unique situation in which it shares its campus with two other universities, the Metropolitan State University of Denver and the Community College of Denver. The three schools share certain facilities, like the student union. The Anschutz Medical Campus is the site of the Research Complex Towers, the Barbara Davis Diabetes Center, the Nighthorse Campbell Native Health building, and the health sciences library.

In addition to its on-campus enrollment, CU Online enrolls an estimated 11,000 online students per year.
