Washington State University Everett International Student Insurance

Washington State University Everett, located in Everett, Washington, was established in 2012. It was founded in response to the number of aerospace and high-tech industries in the area, and in its opening years, officials put pushed to develop the school’s mechanical, electrical, and software engineering degrees. WSU offers just seven majors: Data Analytics, Electrical Engineering, Hospitality Business Management, Integrated Strategic Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Organic & Sustainable Agriculture, and Software Engineering.

Today, the school enrolls almost 300 students and counting each year. The school colors are crimson and gray, and its athletic nickname is the cougars.

On Campus

WSU Everett operates on a “two + two model” (two years at any community college to meet general education requirements, then two years at WSU Everett). Its current campus, which opened in 2017, is a four-story building housing WSU Everett, Everett University Center programs, and the WSU Metropolitan Center for Applied Research and Extension. It’s also a clinical campus of the WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.

Outreach opportunities for students include the local Associated Students of Washington State University (ASWSU) branch that serves as the student government, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and the Society of Women Engineers.

Still in its growing stages, WSU Everett shares many of its campus resources—including the library—with the nearby Everett Community College.
